Education needs to evolve

Online education has showcased how education needs to reform. It has the potential to reach millions within a matter of seconds, on the other hand, it has not eliminated the discrimination that has been taking place since ages in the education industry.

Education has come under fire several times for building an environment of discrimination due to its fees structure. Lower income has struggled to maintain the same level of education while people capable of paying the fees in full have enjoyed far superior education.

Online education gave a glimpse of hope that it can eradicate the discrimination. One can receive the same quality of education anywhere in the world. The only thing you will need is proper internet connection. The problem is that it might sound simple but here it brings the issue.

Poor and especially people from rural areas cannot afford a stable connection. For a long run, the areas start to struggle maintaining a stable connection. On the other hand, people with higher standard of living can continue to enjoy the education.

Solution

As internet is becoming cheaper, the hurdle to afford a stable connection might not be serious soon.

Although, there is always a problem to afford a system that has the processor to handle it for long hours. It might sound like a sound solution but there are thousand other issues.

The teachers are habitual of teaching in a physical environment that they are struggling to give online lectures. Even the students are struggling to get habitual of it.

Future

It might solve some issues ongoing in the education industry but in order to become an ideal solution, it has to work a lot.

Maybe the next generation of teachers might take the technology as a much more integral part.
